Naked and proud - Why we skip the paint on our stainless steel

Why we skip the paint on our stainless steel water bottle?

When you pick up a Joyrolla Vessel, you're holding stainless steel in its purest, most honest form. No paint, no coatings, no distractions,  just beautifully brushed steel.

In a world full of pastel powder coats and glossy finishes, we’ve chosen to go a different way, not because it’s cheaper or easier, but because it’s better.

Here’s why we leave the paint behind:

1. No chips, no peels, no drama

Painted bottles look nice... until they don’t.  One drop, one scrape, or just enough time in your bag, and that pretty surface starts flaking like a croissant. The Joyrolla Vessel is designed to be used, not babied. That means no chipping, no peeling, and no sad patchy bottle a few months down the track.

2. It ages Like a vintage leather jacket

Stainless steel wears its journey well. A few scuffs here and there? That’s character. Over time, your bottle becomes a bit more yours. It’s not ruined, it’s perfectly imperfect.

3. Fewer layers, fewer chemicals

By skipping the paint, we skip a whole list of extras like solvents, resins, and energy-intensive coatings. Less processing means a lighter footprint. It’s better for the planet, and it makes recycling easier too.

So yes, our bottle’s are naked and proud of it. Because sometimes the boldest thing you can do is strip things back and let great design speak for itself.
